02. Combinatorial Therapeutic Effect(s)
Synergistic Effect
Hide/Show
Decreasing Drug Toxicity
Hide/Show
Combination Pair ID: 429
Pair Name Carvacrol, Sorafenib
Phytochemical Name Carvacrol
Anticancer drug Name Sorafenib
Disease Info [ICD-11: 2C12] Hepatocellular carcinoma Investigative
Regulate Info Down-regulation Neurogenic locus notch homolog protein 1 Expression
Result CARV/Sora is a promising combination for tumor suppression and overcoming Sora resistance and cardiotoxicity in HCC by modulating TRPM7. To our best knowledge, this study represents the first study to investigate the efficiency of CARV/ Sora on the HCC rat model. Moreover, no previous studies have reported the effect of inhibiting TRPM7 on HCC.
Enhancing Drug Efficacy
Hide/Show
Combination Pair ID: 708
Pair Name Beta-Elemene, Gefitinib
Phytochemical Beta-Elemene
Drug Gefitinib
Disease Info [ICD-11: 2C25] Lung cancer Investigative
Regulate Info Up-regulation Neurogenic locus notch homolog protein 1 Expression
Result The findings may have potential implications for treating aggressive and resistant lung cancers.
Combination Pair ID: 39
Pair Name Fangchinoline, Everolimus
Phytochemical Fangchinoline
Drug Everolimus
Disease Info [ICD-11: 2C25] Lung cancer Investigative
Regulate Info Up-regulation Neurogenic locus notch homolog protein 1 Expression
Result Firstly link CHOP to Notch 3/c-MYC axis-dependent apoptosis and provide the Notch 3/c-MYC/CHOP activation as a promising strategy for mTOR-targeted combination therapy in lung cancer treatment.
Combination Pair ID: 735
Pair Name Plumbagin, Zoledronic acid
Phytochemical Plumbagin
Drug Zoledronic acid
Disease Info [ICD-11: 2C60] Breast cancer Investigative
Regulate Info Up-regulation Neurogenic locus notch homolog protein 1 Expression
Result Combination of ZA and PL synergistically suppresses human breast cancer MDA-MB-231SArfp cells in vitro. PL can inhibit ZA-induced activation of the Notch-1 signaling pathway and subsequently reduce the expression of Bcl-2, thus potentiating cancer cell apoptosis.
Combination Pair ID: 892
Pair Name Tretinoin, Daratumumab
Phytochemical All-trans-retinoic acid
Drug Daratumumab
Disease Info [ICD-11: 2A60.Z] Acute myeloid leukemia Investigative
Regulate Info Up-regulation Neurogenic locus notch homolog protein 1 Expression
Result These results suggest that, although ATRA does not induce differentiation of non-APL, it may be effective as a therapy in conjunction with DARA.
